Boiler and Pressure Vessel Steel

Welding gas bottle steel is specifically designed for manufacturing welded gas bottles that hold liquefied petroleum gas under normal atmospheric temperatures (-40 to 60°C) with a test pressure of 3.2 MPa. These steel welded gas bottles fall under Category II and III pressure vessels, regulated by the National Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Supervisory Bureau, ensuring safety compliance. The certification for these vessels is revised every five years.
Boiler and pressure vessel steel is classified into three categories: the first category includes medium and normal pressure vessel steel, such as Q245R, Q345R, and 15CrMoR, used mainly in civil boilers and industrial boilers. The second category consists of low-temperature pressure vessel steel, like 16MnDR and 15MnNiDR, primarily used in the locomotive and chemical machinery industries. The third category includes hardened and tempered high-strength steel, like 12MnNiVR, which is applied in special industries such as power station and nuclear power station boilers.
